Porsche no longer using diesel tech in range

German car manufacturer Porsche has announced they are officially canning any diesel models being produced in the future and instead want to focus on developing hybrid and pure-electric models.

Porsche, who will introduce their first all-electric model – the Taycan – next year, is aiming for 50% of all Porsche sales world-wide to be made up of their hybrid or pure-electric vehicles by 2025.

Diesel models accounted for only 12% of Porsches’ sold across the globe in 2018, as well as low global demand for oil-burning diesel models.
