HERE IT IS! THE JEEP GLADIATOR, A FOUR-DOOR DUAL-CAB VERSION OF THE NEW JEEP WRANGLER - COMING TO AUSTRALIA IN EARLY 2020
The Jeep Gladiator which is set to be released in late 2020 has had its first debut at the 2018 Las Angeles Auto Show in late November.
It packs state-of-the-art technology as well as ample storage with the newly added wide tailgate tray.
The Jeep Gladiator is set to shake up the ute market, with industry professionals claiming that the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger competition will take a significant hit once it’s released.
This new workhorse design will be available in Sport, Sport S, Overland and top-of-the-range Rubicon configurations.
Jeep enthusiasts will be able to purchase this model with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Head of Jeep North America, Tim Kuniskis states that there have been ongoing requests from buyers in the one-tonne ute market for more competitive models offering competitive technology solutions.
Mr Kuniskis said, “There is tremendous demand for this unique vehicle from our loyal Jeep customers and pick-up truck buyers everywhere. Born from a rich and proud heritage of tough, dependable Jeep trucks, Gladiator combines rugged utility, versatility and functionality resulting in the most capable mid-size truck ever.”
Motorists can get excited as the Jeep Gladiator offers the first ever open-air ute experience featuring a fold-down windscreen.
In true Wrangler fashion, this new model will also feature a three-piece hard-top shell.
